At 45cm (princess length), the necklace sits right at the collarbone — the most flattering length for crew-necks, blouses, boat-necks, and open collars. Fasten the clasp at the nape, not in front.
Put it on last — after perfume, hairspray, and lotion have fully absorbed, so nothing dulls the nacre.
